1. Purpose of NetMatch
NetMatch is a student-built application designed to help classmates connect, make friends, and overcome language barriers through real-time translation and chat.
2. Eligibility
- Access is restricted to students, teachers, and authorized staff of the institution.
- A valid school email (e.g.
@catsboston.org) is required for registration and login. - Users must provide accurate and truthful information during sign-up.
3. Account Responsibility
- Users are responsible for keeping their password confidential.
- Accounts cannot be shared with third parties.
- We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.
4. User Conduct
You agree NOT to use NetMatch for:
- Sending offensive, discriminatory, or bullying messages.
- Sharing illegal, immoral, or inappropriate content.
- Attempting to hack, exploit, or access other users' data without permission.
- Creating multiple accounts to manipulate interactions.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or reporting to school administration.
5. Privacy and Data
- Data collected (name, email, age, nationality, interests, etc.) is used solely for the operation of the platform.
- NetMatch does not sell or share personal data with third parties.
- Data may be stored on external services (e.g. Supabase, Vercel) under modern security standards.
- By using NetMatch, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described.

6. Limitation of Liability
NetMatch is an experimental and educational project. We do not guarantee 24/7 availability and are not responsible for technical issues or third-party service failures. The team is not responsible for user-generated content.
7. Intellectual Property
The name, logo, and design of NetMatch belong to the development team. Users may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the application without prior authorization.
8. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Significant changes will be notified, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
